Planning
International Meeting at Lodge No. 47 Grenmar in Porsgrunn, 18–20 September 2026
Sisters and brothers from the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark and Sweden arrived by both car and air, with those travelling by plane arriving at Torp Airport.
On Friday evening, we gathered for a buffet featuring traditional Norwegian cuisine.
Saturday began with sightseeing, with Lodge Grenmar showing our visitors some of the highlights of the Grenland region. We visited the Porcelain Church in Porsgrunn and the CO₂ capture facility at Heidelberg Materials in Brevik, followed by a stop at the bridges in Brevik. The tour then continued to the Telemark Canal, where we visited the dams and locks at Skotfoss. We also visited the Odd Fellow House in Skien.
We then gathered at the Odd Fellow House in Porsgrunn for a working meeting, during which the preliminary programme for next year was reviewed. Attendance at next year’s gathering will be limited to 150 guests.
In the evening, we gathered for dinner at Café K, which will also be the venue for our next gathering in 2027.
Attached is a photograph of the working group, with Grand Noble Remi Redalen of Lodge No. 47 Grenmar in the centre, flanked by Lars Stridsberg and Per-Åke Bostrøm.
It was also agreed that the International Odd Fellow Gathering in 2029 will be held in Ystad, Sweden, and hosted by Sister Lodge No. 8 Pyrola.
